Privacy Policy

Channelyzer is a YouTube channel operations tool operated by FFWD Media. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with data obtained from Google APIs. It applies to channelyzer.io and the application at app.channelyzer.io.

Who we are

Channelyzer is operated by FFWD Media. For any question about this policy, or to request deletion of your data, contact hello@channelyzer.io.

What we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, password hash, and the organisation you belong to. Used to sign you in and to scope what you can see.
• Content you create. Channel settings, scripts, titles, images, audio and video produced through the tool, and the notes you write alongside them.
• Connected YouTube data. Where you connect a YouTube channel, the data described in the next section.
• Operational logs. Timestamps and error messages needed to run and debug the service.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Google user data

Connecting a YouTube channel is optional. If you do, Channelyzer requests these scopes and nothing more:

• youtube.readonly — to read your channel’s public details and the list of videos on it.
• yt-analytics.readonly — to read aggregate performance for those videos: views, watch time, average view duration and average percentage viewed.

Both are read-only. Channelyzer cannot upload, edit, delete or publish anything on your YouTube channel, and it does not read comments, subscriber identities, messages, or any personal information about your viewers.

We store an OAuth refresh token so the nightly job can fetch updated figures without asking you to sign in again, along with the per-video metrics themselves. Those metrics are shown back to you inside the app and are used to inform the tool’s own recommendations about your channel. They are not used to train machine learning models, are not shared with any third party, and are not used for advertising.

Channelyzer’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

You can disconnect a channel inside Channelyzer at any time, which deletes the stored token. You can also revoke access directly from your Google account permissions page. Revoking stops all further data collection immediately.

Sub-processors

We use a small number of providers to run the service: a hosting provider for the application and database, an email provider for transactional messages, object storage for generated media, and AI providers for text, image and speech generation. Scripts and prompts you create are sent to those AI providers to produce output. Your Google account credentials and YouTube analytics data are never sent to them.

Retention and deletion

Account and project data is retained while your account is active. On request we delete your account, the content in it, and any stored Google tokens and YouTube metrics. Email hello@channelyzer.io and we will confirm once it is done. Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact us at the address above and we will respond within thirty days.

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. OAuth tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how Google user data is handled, notify account holders by email.
